KSH Apps ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Hero's Discount Tracker mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as:
- Email address (when you sign up for the waitlist or create an account)
- Your service category (first responder, EMT, firefighter, police officer, active duty military, veteran, Guard/Reserve, or family member)
- Discounts and business information you voluntarily submit to the app
- Savings entries you log in the in-app calendar
- Receipt images you choose to scan with your device camera (Pro feature)
We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Service, including device information, general location if you enable it (used to show discounts near you), usage data, and app performance metrics.
2. Receipt Scanning and AI Processing
The Pro receipt scanner is optional and only runs when you choose to take or upload a photo of a receipt. When you scan a receipt, the image may be processed by automated software in order to read the text on it and identify potential savings. We use this processing only to return results to you and to log savings you choose to save. We do not use your receipt images to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Show discounts relevant to your service category and area
- Publish discounts you submit to the community, along with the business details you provide
- Send you launch notifications and important updates (if you opted in)
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
4. Community Submissions
Discounts submitted by Pro members are visible to other users of the Service. Do not include personal information about yourself or anyone else in a discount submission — submit only the business name, offer details, location, and eligibility information.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:
- Service providers who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery, and AI text recognition)
- Law enforcement when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Discounts you have published to the community may remain in the app after your account is closed.
8. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at heathkeenans@gmail.com. If you subscribed to our waitlist, you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above.
